This has been a busy week. I want to "Thank Everyone" who came by the PAC Friday. I always enjoy meeting new people and saying Hi! to old friends. With all the things going on at school and getting ready for Friday's show I haven't been able to get back to the painting I started last weekend. As you can see some progress has been made since the last post. I would love to hear from you and see what you think of the progress. Send me a comment and I will respond that evening.
I started two new pieces today. A few weeks ago we had this fantastic full moon. It was still in the sky till about eight in the morning. On Monday the closer it got to the horizon the redder it became. Tuesdays display gave us a warmer color on its downward journey. For me, no matter what color it takes, a full moon is a wondrous sight to behold. It always amazes me how so many of us can rush around, oblivious to these special gifts from nature. I love the energy that I get from taking a few moments to watch a setting sun or moon.I have tried many times to capture that special feeling I get when observing the moon, trying to find that special energy. I'll keep you posted on the progress.
This new painting is of a great roof top I came across in a small plaza near San Marco this past spring in Venice. I loved the shape of the chimney stacks and the way the bright sunshine fell on the stucco. The sky was totally clear that day, not a sign of rain.
