Full Moon, a bright and warm painting of the north country by S'anna

Full Moon
8" x 6"

Oil on Museum Quality Canvas  Panel

Available at Art on the Levee Gallery

The fall colors of the Alaskan grasses are so intense. I always love to paint the moon and clear sky of the North. You can almost hear the sounds of the nocturnal animals as they scurry beneath the brightness of the Full Moon looking for the days meal. I hope you have a chance to head up into the North Country and enjoy its uniques qualities. This painting is available at Art on the Levee in Newport Ky.

Way Too Soon!

Apple Blossoms

Spring has arrived in full force here in the Ohio River Valley. We usually are still struggling with frost warnings and even the possible late snow. Instead this year the furnaces have been turned off and gardens are growing rapidly, including the always present weeds. It is like watching a scene change in a play and we are suddenly looking at a different world.

Gifts Everywhere
This week has been Spring Break for me and I have spent a great deal of it trying to slow down the rapid overtaking spread of the weeds.   In this whole process of bending over and looking downward, I almost missed the beauty that is taking place above. As the old cliche says, "Slow down and smell the roses". This is such a great way of looking at Life, I just sometimes need a gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy the gifts around me.

When was the last time you were able to slow down and just take a gentle Breath? Remember, life isn't the number of breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away. I hope you find that moment within todays hours.
