Cincinnati Music Hall, Just Getting Started.

Often times I am asked how do you get started on a new painting. Each artist has their own way, and the key thing to remember is to work from where you are most comfortable. For me that is usually a white canvas and a quick sketch with an umber wash or, as in the case of my new piece, a fairly detailed pencil sketch.

Now comes what I consider the Fun Part.

Started laying in some of the basics

This is where I was right before lunch.
I actually love being able to see the progress this way as well. I sit here working on a piece for a couple of days and often forget where I started at. If you have any questions about this process, I will be very happy to try and answer them.

I hope you will stop back tomorrow and see how this painting is coming along.

Enjoy Life Now...

It Has An Expiration Date

PS:  I hope you have enjoyed this post and that you will share
it with your friends and family.
